for a place to donate car related vehicles such as golf carts. However,
it is important to first check our organization's guidelines for doing
so. Charities often take on the things they know have a reasonable
chance of being resold, and ours is no different. One must also do the
same when wanting to donate boat or boat related watercraft such as jet
skis. Snowmobiles do not require titles in the state of Ohio, making
them one of the easier items to donate. However, a trailer is sometimes
required to accompany these types of donations.
As the donation process cannot be completed unless the vehicle has a
title, those needing a replacement title should contact their local
Department of Motor Vehicles. Whether living in Cincinnati or Toledo,
the general procedure for this should be fairly similar. More often than
not, a replacement title can run between twenty and twenty five dollars.
Donors will receive an IRS Form 1098-C to serve as proof of their
contribution and to designate the deduction amount they will be able to
